What is CBDA?

CBDA isn’t the active ingredient, you are. What is the difference between CBD and CBD(A)? CBDA is present in the raw form of the plant extract. Simply, we do not heat process the oil after extraction.

A very simple heating process is used by all CDB manufacturer to convert the CBDA into CBD. Both forms have value! CBDA is reported to more effectively activate a serotonin receptor that reduces nausea and anxiety than CBD. (google search CBDA or "CBDA serotonin receptor")

It may be taken by itself or in combination with CBD CBD and CBDA are obviously very similar. You are unique though, and may find one or the other, or a combination of both is more effective. In general our overview below applies to both forms of CBD. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you in advance which works best for you.

CBD and CBD(A) Overview Your body is an organic system that self regulates and heals. CBD(A) sounds like a cure-all. But it isn’t. CBD(A) doesn’t actually “Fix” or “Combat” anything in your body. It does have one major agreed on effect, it stimulates the receptors in your body’s endocannabinoid system. This will help your understanding of what role hemp products might play in elevating your body's natural responses.

Fuel for your system: The endocannabinoid system is a network of central nervous system receptors present in all mammals which bind and respond to cannabinoids present in the human body. Just like anything else, sometimes due to stress, diet, or other factors your body doesn’t produce levels of cannabinoids that keep your systems functioning ideally.

Rather than thinking of CBD(A) as something that cures whatever ails you, think of it as a fuel that boosts your body's overall function, as a result your body is better able to respond naturally to daily physical stresses.

What does CBD(A) do to the endocannabinoid system? CBD, CBDA, THC, CBG, CBN, and the many other cannabinoids found in hemp bind to the receptors in our endocannabinoid system and change its function.

While your body produces cannabinoids, think of the addition of these natural cannabinoids to our diet like taking Vitamin C to boost the immune system. The vitamin C isn’t fighting your cold directly—but it’s allowing your body to mobilize faster and respond better to an attack.

The Endocannabinoid System effects many of your natural functions: Our endocannabinoid system is a web of receptors that effect the way our body creates, and synthesizes chemicals used in a wide range of functions.

* Energy balance, metabolism and nutrient transport

* Stress response and the regulation of stress induced chemical production, -Activation of our immune system

* Increasing noradrenaline production, reducing muscle and skeletal pain and inflammation response

* Increasing slow wave and REM sleep

* Increased production of compounds during physical exercise thought to be responsible for the “runners high” Is this different than a pain-killer?

Traditional pain-killers block the messages sent from damaged nerve endings to the brain. These pain messages can be sent due to tissue damage, skeletal or other injury and can be exacerbated by inflammation.

Pain-killers mask and inhibit the nerves ability to send messages of pain to the brain. Your endocannabinoid system, when stimulated, can trigger increased production of noradrenaline that changes how your body responds to injury. This helps to alleviate chronic pain biochemically.

This response helps lead to faster recovery times from overstressed or overused joints and muscles as well as recovery after physical exercise CBD(A) isn’t a “medicine”, it’s a supplement, a fuel, that boosts your body's own responses and increases its ability to keep your systems regulated for overall health.

Dosage and Use: Effective dosage of cannabinoids affecting the endocannabinoid system differs person to person. Based on limited research and subjective reports, effective doses as low as 10mg per day can have an effect. People with increased tolerance, or higher functioning endocannabinoid systems, doses up to 60mg may be required to see an effect.

We recommend to start small and increase your dosage over time to find what is right for you. In our experience older people tend to respond to lower dosages, while younger people and people in generally good health tend to respond to higher doses. Likely because they can metabolize and process compounds faster. Additionally, regularly taking smaller doses can be more effective than taking one large dose semi regularly. We recommend finding a daily dose that seems right for you by increasing from small doses.

Over time some tolerance may occur and you’ll need to increase dosage if you notice that you’re experiencing less effect. Those seeking to elevate their endocannabinoid systems function may find our DAILY concentration effective—while those who are seeking relief from regular and chronic pain symptoms may find our ACTIVE or RELIEF concentrations more suitable.

Find what is right for you with personal testing. A dose of our DAILY concentration is likely the lowest effective dose for most people at 10mg/1ml (one dropper) per day. Why do other CBD(A) products not work for me?

All CBD products are not created equal. There are many strains of hemp that contain quantities of cannabinoids as low as 2%. Some are grown in midwestern USA, in China and other parts of the world. These strains were bred for hemp fiber.

Our hemp strains are superior and have a more full spectrum of cannabinoids (CBD,CBG,CBN etc.) We care about this and carefully select which strains we use in our products. Some chemical processing and distillation methods can eliminate all the other cannabinoids present, or they aren’t present to begin with in the starting material.

Why choose JOON Farms? Our hemp is bred from cannabinoid rich cannabis sativa on our own farm and by other local farmers in southern Oregon, many of whom got their start in medicinal marijuana. Our hemp, bred in Oregon has a focus on flower production and resin gland production.

This greatly differs from the fibrous hemp strains being grown in the Midwest and in China. Our CBD and cannabinoid rich strains produce hemp flower with cannabinoid concentrations up to 20%!  Almost 10 times what fibrous hemp plants produce. The variety of cannabinoids present in our hemp are preserved during our non-chemical processing.

We are producing a holistic, full spectrum product to have a better affect on your endocannabinoid system. We aren’t just jumping on the CBD bandwagon and making something that has some CBD in it.

We’ve been honing a craft from start to finish and have fine tuned a product we are sure will work. Our goal is to produce a top quality product for you. In a way that is good for our planet, and your body. We’ve spared no expense and have our hands in this product through each step.

Starting with healthy organic soil, through maturation of beautiful hemp flowers to extraction and concentration of all of the active compounds which you have here in this bottle.

We hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoy making it!
